The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, one of the largest international tourism trade shows, will take place from 28 April to 1 May 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This landmark event will focus on the theme “Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity”, highlighting the crucial role connectivity plays in shaping the future of the tourism sector.

Remarkable Growth in 2025

The 2025 edition of ATM promises to be one of the most ambitious yet, with over 2,600 exhibitors from 161 countries, underscoring the international growth of the event. Asia leads this growth with a 27% increase in exhibitors, followed by India, whose participation has surged by 41%. This momentum is particularly evident in the tourism sector, where the Middle East stands out for its impressive growth, playing a key role in the global recovery of the industry.

The Strategic Role of Technology and Business Events

A significant addition to the 2025 edition is the integration of IBTM @ ATM, a platform dedicated to the business events sector, an essential part of the wider travel and tourism industry. This initiative provides attendees with an opportunity to discover the latest trends in event planning, connect with suppliers, and benefit from opportunities to organise increasingly innovative business events, conferences, and incentive programmes.

Danielle Curtis, the event director, emphasises that this dedicated space will enable event organisers to stay ahead of the curve with cutting-edge technological trends, particularly in hybrid events and sustainability. IBTM @ ATM thus emerges as a vital hub for innovation and strategic networking within the business events community.

Increased Focus on Technology in the Tourism Sector

Another notable feature of ATM 2025 will be the continued expansion of the Travel Tech space. Exhibitors in the travel technology sector saw a 25% year-on-year increase in 2024, and this trend will continue in 2025, with exhibition space expanding by 22%. This segment will showcase groundbreaking technologies that are shaping the future of travel, such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and connectivity solutions designed to enhance the traveller experience. The global travel technology market is currently valued at $10.7 billion and is expected to reach $18.6 billion by 2033.

A Focus on Emerging Markets

ATM 2025 will not only highlight technological advancements but will also concentrate on emerging markets, with sessions dedicated to traveller profiles and investment opportunities in regions like Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and India. This focus offers professionals valuable insights into key growth areas and fosters relationships with influential stakeholders in the sector.

High-Level Conference Programme

The ATM 2025 conference programme will feature over 200 high-profile speakers across 60 sessions, covering global trends while providing local perspectives on the tourism recovery and traveller demands in an increasingly connected world.
