Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has been making waves in 2024, cementing its position as a leading airline in Africa and a global contender. With a vision that extends far beyond the runway, the Moroccan national carrier is focused on expansion, excellence, and strengthening its connection with the continent.
Celebrating Success with Travel Professionals
On November 30, 2024, RAM hosted a grand event in Tunis to celebrate the close of the IATA year. The gathering brought together key players in the travel industry to honor Tunisian travel agencies and promote the airline’s growing portfolio of products and services. Mohammed Issam Mosseddaq, the Regional Director for Tunisia, highlighted the impressive milestone achieved this year: over 175,000 passengers traveled between Tunis and RAM's global network.
This achievement underscores the trust of our partners and the hard work of our teams,” Mosseddaq said, reflecting on the airline’s dedication to its strategic growth plan for 2024-2037.
Ambitious Expansion Plans
Royal Air Maroc’s ambitions soar sky-high, with plans to double its fleet by 2030 and quadruple it to 200 aircraft by 2037. This vision aligns with Morocco's role as a co-host of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, ensuring the airline is ready to meet increased global demand.
As a testament to this growth, RAM recently welcomed its latest addition: a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, with a seating capacity of 332 passengers, including 26 in Business Class. This aircraft brings RAM’s long-haul fleet to 10 Dreamliners, with another soon to join.
New Routes: Connecting the World to Morocco and Africa
In 2024, RAM launched three new international routes: Napoli (Italy), Manchester (UK), and Abuja (Nigeria)—its second Nigerian destination. Domestically, two routes were introduced between Rabat and Errachidia, as well as Laâyoune in Morocco’s Sahara region.
Looking ahead, the airline plans to unveil three long-haul routes by early 2025, connecting Casablanca to São Paulo (December 7, 2024), Toronto (December 8, 2024), and Beijing (January 20, 2025).

The airline’s Business Class, featuring the latest Dreamliner comforts, reflects its commitment to blending luxury with efficiency.
Rooted in Africa, Leading the Way
As one of the few African carriers with a truly global footprint, RAM has positioned itself as a bridge connecting Africa to the world. From its strategic hub in Casablanca, the airline operates a robust network linking African capitals with Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia.
Royal Air Maroc’s success story is a testament to Morocco’s aviation ambitions and the airline’s steadfast commitment to delivering a world-class experience. With a fleet set to grow, routes expanding across continents, and a focus on innovation and customer care, RAM is not just an airline—it’s a symbol of Africa’s limitless potential.
In the words of Mosseddaq:
Royal Air Maroc is not just about transporting passengers; it’s about connecting people, cultures, and dreams.”
