Morocco is in the spotlight at the world's largest BtoB trade show, the World Travel Market (WTM) in London 2023.
The Moroccan delegation, led by Fatim-Zahra AMMOR, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social Economy, Adel El Fakir, Director General of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), and Hamid Bentaher, President of the National Confederation of Tourism, made their mark on the event.
The ONMT is taking advantage of its unprecedented participation in WTM London 2023 to unveil its new stand concept, with a record 760 square meters of floor space, including 130 square meters dedicated to the Marrakech-Safi and Agadir-Souss Massa regions. These two destinations are very popular with British tourists. A strategic partnership with JET2 was also announced during the event.
On the sidelines of the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, the ONMT signed a 5-year partnership agreement with British tour operator Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, a market leader in the travel industry. The main aim of this agreement is to position Morocco as a destination of choice in their travel programming.
In the first year of the agreement, the plan is to launch 17 flights a week from several key UK departure points, with the aim of increasing frequency to 28 flights a week in due course. This partnership should create interesting opportunities for Moroccan tourism and British travellers alike.
Morocco's active participation in the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2023 was nothing short of impressive. With a strong delegation led by key figures from the Moroccan tourism sector, the country demonstrated its commitment to strengthening its position as a leading travel destination.
