The Ministry of Tourism has recently unveiled a new initiative aimed at simplifying entry procedures for visitors to Saudi Arabia. Individuals holding US, UK, or Schengen tourist visas, as well as permanent residents from an EU country, can now apply for an instant e-visa through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' official website.
This move is part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility and convenience for those wishing to explore the Kingdom's tourist attractions, as well as its rich heritage and history.
Under the updated regulations, travelers possessing a valid tourism or business visa from the US, UK, or a Schengen state are eligible for an exception, provided they have previously utilized the visa to enter the issuing country at least once. This exception extends to the first-degree relatives of the visa holder, as well as permanent residents in the US, EU, or UK.
Furthermore, permanent residents can now facilitate access to the Kingdom for their immediate family members by obtaining an upon-arrival visa.
It is important to note that all visitors must adhere to Saudi Arabia's laws and regulations while within the country, which includes carrying identification documents at all times. Additionally, it should be emphasized that holding a tourist visa does not grant permission to perform Hajj or Umrah during the pilgrimage season.
In line with its efforts to facilitate procedures and provide a comprehensive tourism experience, KSA allows holders of visas from the U.S., U.K. and Schengen Area, as well as their residents, to obtain a tourist e-visa in no time via the @KSAmofaEN website. pic.twitter.com/oOcB1Smdpz
