The 30th Arabian Travel Market shattered attendance records, welcoming over 40,000 attendees, including 30,000 visitors, to Dubai World Trade Centre. The number of attendees increased by 29% compared to the previous year and 5% compared to 2019, marking a new high for the show.
The event's theme, "Working Towards Net Zero," saw over 2,100 exhibitors and representatives from more than 150 countries exploring trends and innovations driving sustainability within the global travel industry.
During the four-day exhibition, special events such as the Sustainable Stand Award, won by Hilton for using a local supplier and repurposing materials, and the Pearl Award, awarded to Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Duty Free, for his contributions to the travel and tourism sector in the UAE, were held.
Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) won the Best Stand Design Award for the second consecutive year at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023 in Dubai. The stand featured a cutting-edge and monumental design with ten activation areas framed by 8-meter tall LED panels and a lighted ceiling comprising of 24,750 fiber optic strands that gave a futuristic feel to visitors' journey. The fully immersive area showcased the new Business seats for the upcoming Airbus A321 XLR VantageSOLO suite. SAUDIA has won the ATM award three times in the past five years.
The show's opening session, moderated by CNN's Eleni Giokos, featured a climate change debate with notable speakers from various organizations, including the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction and the Jordan Tourism Board. The event was held in conjunction with Dubai World Trade Centre, with strategic partners such as Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism, Emirates, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Al Rais Travel.
