Kaouther Ben Hania will serve on the International Jury of the official competition at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, marking a historic first for an Arab woman filmmaker. Her appointment comes after an exceptional international rise, with three Oscar-nominated films, major festival recognition and a long-standing relationship with Venice, from Challatt Tunes and The Man Who Sold His Skin to the powerful reception of The Voice of Hind Rajab, which won the Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize after a record standing ovation.
