Travellers can now leave the pressures of modern life behind and reconnect with nature at the luxury off-grid Arctic Retreat in Swedish Lapland; a remote retreat of three log cabins hidden deep within the untouched boreal forest, where foraging and fishing allow guests to embrace a simpler, quieter way of life.

The accommodation is central to a new experience launched by Off the Map Travel - with unmatched access to silence and scenery, it allows guests to fully submerge themselves in the Arctic wilderness and discover the rich culture, remote landscapes and culinary traditions of Lapland.

The "Fish, Forage and Feast" itinerary is an immersive experience that invites guests to reconnect with the raw beauty of the Arctic, staying in an off-grid traditional cabin hidden deep in the Swedish wilderness.

Combining adventure with luxury and relaxation, the experience, available from August to October introduces guests to Nordic survival techniques, wilderness fishing and traditional foraging by day, followed by evenings spent unwinding in a private wood-fired sauna, soaking in your own hot tub on the terrace and witnessing the Northern Lights dazzle at night.

This is the perfect experience for anyone looking to escape the pace of modern life and truly experience the Arctic wilderness, Set deep in the forest at the foot of the frozen Raven Rapid in the Råne River valley of Swedish Lapland, the Arctic Retreat offers total seclusion, where guests can reconnect with nature through fire, food and forest.

says Jonny Cooper, Arctic travel expert and founder of Off the Map Travel.

The Arctic Retreat features three log timber cabins, each with its own hot tub on the terrace, a wall of large panoramic windows facing north (perfect for spotting the Northern Lights) ; a corner log fire, cosy interior décor inspired by local artists, indulgent spa treatments, and a private wood-fired sauna to warm up and escape the cold.

Located on the southern edge of one of northern Sweden's darkest, most isolated regions near the Arctic Circle, we chose this spot to launch the programme as it offers a unique blend of untouched wilderness and total solitude where this is not only a great chance to see the Auroras, but there is also a great contrast between cosy luxury and outdoor adventure,"

added Cooper.

Over this three night adventure, guests will indulge in a range of activities perfect for adventure lovers; a guided introduction to Nordic wilderness survival- learning how to build a fire, navigating using natural signs and understanding what it takes to live in harmony with the elements; as well as private Northern Lights hunting in the evening and guided fishing experiences to catch Arctic char, pike or perch.

They will also join local experts for a Culinary Nature Fika Tour, a guided foraging walk introducing them to the edible wonders of the forest, from wild berries to seasonal herbs for making medicinal tea and beautiful mushroom dishes. Connect with hundreds of years of Sami tradition through joiking songs and folklore while sipping on birch cordial and stepping back in time.

Culinary enthusiasts can enjoy a fish-focused menu crafted with local techniques and ingredients, plus the chance to dine at Aurora Lookout at the Arctic Retreat, where traditional Lapland flavours are experienced with the Aurora overhead,

Cooper added.

The three-night Fish, Forage and Feast  itinerary costs from £3,495 per person, not including flights.

This includes three nights in a private riverside log cabin at Arctic Retreat, full-board dining: daily breakfasts, lunches, and multi-course Arctic-inspired evening meals, private airport transfers from and to Luleå Airport, wilderness survival skills workshop with a local guide, guided Arctic fishing experience with equipment provided, foraging and Culinary Nature Fika Tour with Eva Gunnare, access to  wood-fired sauna and outdoor hot tub, evening opportunities to view the Northern Lights, all winter outdoor clothing and activity equipment and personalised itinerary planning and local hosting throughout.
