Hilton announced the signing of an agreement with "Immobilière Nour El Ain" (Real Estate) for the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Tunis Carthage, marking the entry of the award-winning Hilton Garden Inn brand into Tunisia.

Scheduled to open in 2025, Hilton Garden Inn Tunis Carthage will be located on the main boulevard of Carthage Gardens (Jardins de Carthage), offering 170 rooms as part of a larger development aimed at boosting the region's tourism offerings. Several parks located in front of the property will provide a sense of tranquility, as will the hotel's proximity to Lake Tunis – a natural lagoon between Tunis and the Mediterranean Sea. This establishment will enjoy an ideal location near foreign embassies, the Tunis Convention Center, international schools, and the historical ruins of the Carthage Roman amphitheater.

Carlos Khneisser, Vice President of Development for the Middle East and Africa at Hilton, stated: "We are thrilled to announce the realization of Hilton Garden Inn Tunis Carthage, which adds to Hilton's initial successes in Tunisia with the opening of Hilton Skanes Monastir Beach Resort. With three more establishments in the pipeline in this country, this new signing showcases our commitment to this dynamic tourism market and our aim to offer world-class Hilton hospitality to customers from the African continent."

Indeed, Hilton Garden Inn Tunis Carthage will provide affordable accommodation and thoughtful service through its contemporary rooms and world-class amenities, including an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop restaurant, a terrace bar, and a lobby lounge. Business travelers will have access to the hotel's meeting room for corporate meetings and events, while leisure enthusiasts can work out in the fitness center or relax by the indoor hotel pool.

Alan Roberts, Global Head of the Hilton Garden Inn brand, mentioned: "Hilton Garden Inn has been focused on expanding into new destinations, including increasing its presence in Africa. We are excited to announce the launch of Hilton Garden Inn Tunis Carthage, our first Hilton Garden Inn property in Tunisia. It will be an exceptional hotel in an outstanding location, further enriching our rapidly expanding portfolio, which now includes 20 operational and planned hotels across Africa. We look forward to delighting our guests with impeccable service and modern facilities."

Furthermore, Hilton Garden Inn Tunis Carthage will be conveniently situated near Tunis' most popular tourist sites, including the archaeological site of Carthage, the blue and white village of Sidi Bou Said perched on a UNESCO-listed cliff, and the winding medieval streets of the Medina, exuding a unique atmosphere. Located just 11 kilometers from Tunis-Carthage International Airport, the hotel will also be ideal for business travelers in transit.

Ahmed Frikha, CEO of "Immobiliere Nour El Ain" (Real Estate), added: "We are very pleased and honored to partner with Hilton to introduce the first Hilton Garden Inn in Tunisia. The capital of Tunisia is a hidden gem in North Africa and has so much to offer to travelers. We are confident that Hilton Garden Inn Tunis Carthage will be embraced by the entire region and will bring numerous benefits to the local community in terms of employment and tourism development."

Once open, Hilton Garden Inn Tunis Carthage will join over 100 Hilton properties in operation or under development in Africa and the Indian Ocean region, including Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch and Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Mauritius, both scheduled to open in 2026.
